The Accounts Receivable Manager, EMEA will play a critical role in GumGum’s Accounting team and will be a key-contributor in building out our shared-services operations in EMEA

The AR Manager, EMEA reports to the Director of Accounting, EMEA in the UK.

This role is primarily responsible for managing the Accounts Recievable functions within EMEA. This role requires someone who is proactive, self-directed and team oriented with strong Client relationship and invoicing experience as well as credit control. Previous Use of Netsuite and Salesforce would be a significant advantage.

Note: GumGum currently operates in a ‘work from home’ virtual environment with sporadic opportunities for in-person business and morale events (health guidelines permitting). There will not be any requirement to go into the office on a daily basis moving forward.

What You'll Achieve

  • Oversight of Accounting functions - The main tasks & responsibilities of the role are focused on accounts receivable operations, reporting and VAT and withholding tax. They include in more detail:

    • Ensuring data is correct and complete in order to be able to raise multi jurisdiction and currency sales invoices for EMEA
    • Manual Billing using Excel.
    • Ensure correct client documentation for withholding tax and VAT is received available for audit.
    • Raising of sales Invoices for EMEA from Sales Orders with a knowledge of Salesforce & NetSuite
    • Credit control for EMEA and reporting of outstanding balances. & collections
    • Reconciliation of systems data and ability to resolve discrepancies.
    • Resolve client queries relating to invoicing and ensure correct documentation is received in regard to Withholding tax and VAT
    • Check and import data from other Systems into NetSuite.
    • Record and reconcile all incoming payments in NetSuite.
    • Prepare Journals in NetSuite
    • Complete Bank reconciliations - multi currency.
    • Calculate and account for revenue accruals and deferrals where required.
  • Process Improvements & Building Departmental Efficiencies
    • Transfer from campaign end invoicing to monthly invoicing
    • Transfer Zoho invoicing to NetSuite
    • Reduce debtor days

Skills You'll Bring

  • Qualified by experience
  • GCSE Math and English
  • Bookkeeping Qualification AAT or similar
  • 5+ years of broad experience in multi-national accounts receivable department,
  • Strong knowledge of Sales tax and withholding tax.
  • Credit Control experience
  • Recording of Journal entries, bank receipts, currency payments and intercompany transactions.
  • Account reconciliation including bank.
  • Microsoft office with advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and fluency in English
  • A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task, think creatively, meet deadlines and learn quickly in a high-volume environment
  • Team oriented with a positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work autonomously without supervision
  • Provides ongoing feedback and updates, and communicates and addresses issues promptly
