The National Sales Lead - Independent Agencies is a strong sales performer and team manager who strives to evangelise best-in-market digital advertising products. They’re extremely well connected in independent agency land and have an unparalleled history of not just hitting, but exceeding, their team sales targets, with innovative and best practice client representation and campaign outcomes. They have strong experience supporting a national team of sellers in building a high performance sales and ongoing learning culture. They understand the intricate and ever-changing digital media landscape and inherently know how programmatic delivery works. The ideal candIdate understands the value of getting their clients attention and delivering strong results, everytime.

What You'll Achieve

  • Drive new business and deliver on set sales targets
    • Spread the word about the PLAYGROUND XYZ offering to Media Agencies, Creative Agencies and Brands direct with a national focus on increasing spend from independent agencies
    • Drive the adoption of our technology and tools
    • Set up and run client meetings and presentations - bringing senior leadership in when appropriate
    • Uncover and respond to briefs for ideas, working with our Design team for ideation / use cases of our ad formats
    • KPI’s and budgets based on actual usage of our technology
    • Travel as necessary
  • Execute on internal processesEnsure all internal forecasting and reporting systems are kept up to date
    • Work closely with internal support teams across campaign management and supply to ensure smooth delivery of campaigns and opportunities for upsell and incremental spend
    • Any additional adhoc role specifc work as required by the company.

Skills You'll Bring

  • BA/BS degree in Business (Advertising/Marketing) or equivalent experience ideally
  • 7+ years of experience in the digital media field, preferably in online verticals
  • Amazingly deep independent agency contacts across Australia
  • 4+ years working in digital media and advertising in a sales management role
  • Will consider those from an agency background looking to move into a sales function
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self starter, want to be on the fast track to success, driven, restless
  • Can receive feedback without being defensive and always seeks to learn more
  • Self organized and proactive. Uses Initiative to go above and beyond and deliver on client needs
