The Marketing Manager, Japan will play a key role within the GumGum Global marketing team - creating experiences and executing virtual and in-person marketing campaigns for both existing and prospective clients to support our portfolio of media and data solutions in Japan. The Marketing Manager is a client-centric campaign creator, with a creative mind, hands-on approach and collaborative spirit!

Reporting to the VP of Global Marketing Strategy & Operations, this role will be responsible for leading virtual and in-person events, interactive experiences, client marketing campaigns, webinars, conference sponsorships, and more. The Marketing Manager will develop custom, memorable experiences to drive engagement, awareness and new sales opportunities in the Japan region.

A successful Marketing Manager thrives in a fast paced environment, collaborating closely with the Managing Director, the Japan sales team, and the global marketing team to deliver highly effective and successful marketing programs, and has a flair for creativity, thinks outside of the box and has a deep understanding of audience needs, client engagement and revenue touchpoints needed to build outstanding campaigns.

What You'll Achieve

  • Create and execute engaging multi-touch campaigns.
  • Develop multichannel campaigns with Japan sales and global teams.
  • Adapt global marketing messages for Japan.
  • Craft engaging content for various marketing channels.
  • Plan virtual and in-person events with the local sales team.
  • Coordinate event sponsorships to ensure impact and ROI.
  • Manage webinars and work with speakers to generate leads.
  • Oversee campaign timelines, goals, resources, and budget.
  • Manage client gifting and swag programs.
  • Track campaign success in Salesforce from engagement to revenue.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to improve performance.

Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years in marketing, ideally in high-growth B2B tech.
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
  • Proven success in building and scaling marketing campaigns.
  • Expertise in planning and executing events.
  • Ability to adapt global strategies for local impact.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Splash, PMS tools, and G-Suite.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Independent and team-oriented work style.
  • Ability to collaborate with vendors.
  • Understanding of online advertising and media buying.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Creative marketing mindset for innovative campaigns.
  • Hands-on leadership and effective collaboration.
