As a Part-time HR Generalist (HRG), you will play a crucial role in supporting and strengthening our human resources operations. Your expertise will help to implement HR best practices, maintain compliance with employment laws, streamline HR processes, enhance employee relations, and ensure a supportive and efficient work environment.

The Part-time HRG is the first HR role at Relo Metrics, a subsidiary of GumGum, Inc. Relo Metrics has appx. 35 employees in the U.S. (mainly LA and NY) and the UK with some international third-party engineers. The HRG reports to the Director, People Operations at GumGum and will be fully embedded in the Relo Metrics day-to-day operations there. This is a remote position with occasional travel to the Santa Monica office and/or locations throughout the LA area.


What You'll Achieve

  • HR Operations: Manage daily HR activities for smooth operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to U.S. and U.K. employment laws.
  • Onboarding & Separations: Facilitate new hires and conduct exit interviews.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Handle payroll updates, benefits administration, and annual compensation planning.
  • Performance Management: Coordinate annual reviews and goal alignment.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries and maintain positive relations.
  • Employee Data: Update records in ADP WorkforceNow, draft offer letters.
  • General HR Support: Assist with HR tasks, plan team events, and support recruiting efforts.

Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in tech or start-ups.
  • Proficient in HRIS implementation and management.
  • Experienced in onboarding and separations.
  • Knowledgeable in U.S. and U.K. employment laws.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Independent and collaborative worker.
  • Discreet, with a high level of integrity.

What We Offer

The reasonable estimated base pay range for this role is from ($48,000 to $60,000) annually. The actual amount may be higher or lower. Individual compensation will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant qualifications, work location, and labor market conditions.
