The Account Executive role is an entry-level individual contributor responsible for prospecting and closing sales in GumGum’s Market Leading Advertising platform. Reporting to the Group Sales Director, Canada and East Coast SVP (NY), this role is responsible for leading and developing key relationships in the allocated region to drive real value for our clients through GumGum products. We require a basic understanding of work concepts and principles.

Account Executives have basic knowledge of the online media landscape, the advertising community and have 1-2 years of digital media experience. The Account Executive is a self motivated leader who can work with internal teams and are committed to achieving and exceeding sales goals while growing GumGum’s products in their allocated region.

Note: This position offers the opportunity for remote work or 'work from home' as there isn't a nearby office. However, GumGum is excited to only consider applicants residing in the local area listed in the job description for business needs including some or all of the following: client interaction, team interaction, timezone, etc.


What You'll Achieve

  • Drive Revenue for Canada: Manage a $1.5M+ book of business, focusing on underserved agencies and new business.
  • Sales from Marketing Channels: Identify and qualify marketing-driven leads.
  • Sales Prospecting: High volume of activities including cold calls, presentations, RFPs, and creative sales solutions.
  • Upsell Current Clients: Provide market insights and generate sales from key brands and agencies. Support new product rollouts.
  • Relationship Development: Build deep relationships with brands, agencies, and clients to offer tailored solutions.
  • Client Insight to Product Team: Relay client feedback for service improvements.
  • Internal Collaboration: Ensure alignment and successful implementation of proposals.
  • Strategic Sales: Assist Sales Director in strategic sales initiatives.

Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Media or Marketing/Advertising.
  • 1-2 years of digital advertising sales experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience with breaking new accounts, brands, and agencies.
  • Programmatic experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Salesforce, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Seller Crowd and industry updates.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of business drivers (P/L, Revenue, etc.).
  • Analytical skills for data interpretation and solution development.
  • Motivated, proactive, and passionate about the product.
  • Ability to entertain and grow client relationships.
