Who We Are:
At Omaze, we give our community in the UK and Germany the chance to win luxury homes and other life-changing prizes — all while raising money for the causes they love.
Thanks to our Omaze Community, we’ve raised over £100 million for UK charities in just five years. That’s millions helping organisations like Age UK, the RSPCA, British Heart Foundation and Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity deliver life-saving work.
And the best part? We’re only just getting started. Omaze is building a business and culture committed to growth and creating significant social impact on a global scale.
🔑 About The Job
We’re looking for a BI Analyst to own analytical reporting and dashboarding across the business, spanning both the UK and Germany (and any future markets that we expand into!)
This role sits at the heart of how data is consumed at Omaze: ensuring that business-critical metrics are well-defined, consistently applied, and easily accessible to colleagues across the business, from the CEO down. The right candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, the ability to communicate and work with a number of stakeholders simultaneously, and the ability to make beautiful data visualisations!
What you’ll do:
Own and maintain our BI and analytics tooling (ThoughtSpot and Count), ensuring that both are performant, and easy for business users to navigate
Co-own and maintain our semantic layer with Analytics Engineering, to ensure that metrics are well defined, and applied consistently
Contribute to our dbt project, ensuring that reporting is not blocked by the data availability / structure
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of our metrics and reporting, through appropriate dbt tests and documentation (in both dbt and Notion)
Advocate and educate business users across Omaze on what tooling is available (the team Key Result is breadth and depth of company ThoughtSpot usage)
Drive automation where possible, and help the data function navigate the shift to AI-based workflows
Offer the right solutions to data-hungry stakeholders - know when it’s appropriate to push back on a request for one more dashboard!
Our ideal candidate has:
Proven experience in analytics at a high growth company
Strong experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Looker, and the ability to create highly accessible, digestible visualisations and dashboards
Fluency in SQL, and the ability to query and transform large volumes (billions of rows) of data (we use Snowflake)
Working knowledge of dbt and Kimball-style data modelling (Facts and Dimensions)
The wisdom to know when another dashboard isn’t the right answer
