About the Junior Home Manager Role

As part of our field-based service team, the Junior Home Manager will support home management and maintenance for a growing portfolio of homes in Napa, California. You will engage owners throughout their Pacaso journey, from initial onboarding and home orientation to stay support and service requests. You will ensure homes are clean and well-maintained for every stay, and uphold our service tenets. You will act as a local liaison with neighbors, vendors, and partners to help fulfill our mission of enriching lives by making second home ownership possible and enjoyable for more people. This is an exciting role for anyone looking to break into tech / startups, hospitality, property management, or field operations, with strong growth potential.

Please note: To be considered for this role, you must be a resident, or within close commuting distance of Napa, California.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with Home Managers, Maintenance Managers, and regional leadership to deliver an incredible owner experience
  • Support day-to-day home operations, including vendor management, project management, asset management, and owner experience
  • Serve as an important point-of-contact for owners in select markets within the Napa Valley; be the expert of every Pacaso home in your portfolio
  • Ensure homes are consistently at a stay-ready status through onsite inspections, inventory restocks, and cleaning assessments; inspect the work of local service partners and ensure it meets our quality standards
  • Support Home Managers with property financials, the creation and management of annual budgets, and facilitating owner votes
  • Support the creation and review of home manuals that explain the functionality and features of the homes to owners
  • Proactively keep owners updated on the status of their work orders and requests as well as any upgrades and maintenance planned for the home
  • Utilize Pacaso-integrated systems and technology to manage the health of your portfolio
  • Communicate with owners before stays to set expectations and provide updates
  • Check in with owners during stays to offer as-needed support
  • Help resolve any owner conflicts that arise with diplomacy and professionalism
  • Maintain positive relations with community partners, including vendors, neighbors, and HOAs
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing to develop shared goals and ensure we lead with an owner-centered mindset
  • Promote a highly collaborative, data-driven culture that supports continuous improvement
  • Deliver such an exceptional experience that owners are encouraged to share their Pacaso with family and friends
  • Salary = $65,000 plus benefits and stock package

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a service-oriented role; property management and/or hospitality operations a plus
  • Ability to learn new systems, technology, and software quickly; tech-savvy
  • Demonstrated passion for customer service and satisfaction
  • Flexibility in scheduling; please note this role will regularly have to work weekends
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills; you are detail-oriented and always see tasks through to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • A self-directed attitude; you’re willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
  • Basic handiness with simple tools (screwdriver, wrench, etc.)
  • Technical aptitude with basic home systems (wifi, sound systems, televisions, smart home appliances, etc.)
  • High energy, positive, and professional attitude
  • An appetite for dealing with ambiguity and tackling the unknown; we’re a startup and need creative thinkers and builders
  • You currently reside in, or live within commuting distance of Napa
