Ambassadors at The Black Tux (TBT) serve as mentors to new team members and associates and act as a point of contact between associates and the department Lead. Ambassadors introduce new employees to the culture and policies at TBT. As an Ambassador, you will be available to answer questions or provide guidance to associates, ensure that all new inventory is; counted, audited, and received to TBT standards, and account for and deliver supplies to the other departments within the warehouse in a timely manner. This role will report into our Warehouse Lead.

What You'll Do

  • Train new and existing associates on Receiving functions, and support those who need additional assistance
  • Ensure all labor is conducted following the floor plan published each day
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other associates to do the same
  • Follow the standard operating procedures and notify a lead or manager in case of any challenges
  • Notify lead or manager immediately about any quality defect
  • Fulfill in-house supply orders to other departments
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of palletized freight
  • Inspect deliveries to ensure merchandise and supplies are as-expected
  • Conduct weekly supply counts and update current supply levels in tracking spreadsheets
  • Audit new inventory to ensure it matches the TBT existing inventory and standards
  • Restock supply items and submit order requests for items in low supply
  • Use machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move inventory and supplies throughout the warehouse
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Who You Are

  • 1+ years of warehouse experience
  • Proficient in English and Spanish preferred (written and spoken)
  • Professional use of Excel and Google Suite
  • Passionate about maintaining quality in distribution
  • Motivated to lead by example
  • Attentive to the small details and how it contributes to the overall customer experience
  • Curious and excited to bring forward new ideas
  • Warehouse Management Systems and tools such as Highjump, Lean, and 5S is a plus
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment
  • Ability to stand/Walk for periods of time up to and exceeding 120 minutes
