Lead inventory teams across sites in developing inventory strategy; activities include network inventory planning, balancing and optimization, establishing warehouse inventory controls, and defining operational goals for inventory management
Drive inventory improvement initiatives to completion with positive net results; champion change and continuous process improvement
Develop, implement and use tools and technology for managing and analyzing inventory.
Measure inventory accuracy, drive root cause analysis behind variances, report, communicate and take corrective action
Manage SOP’s for inventory management including cycle counts, physical inventory movements, managing Kanban levels, obsolete inventory disposition, inter-company transfer of inventory and managing safety stock inventories in other regions
Monitor KPI’s to track and evaluate inventory performance, assess the effectiveness of the inventory management function
Perform data analytics and root cause analysis on inventory flow of materials through DC’s
Recommend business process improvements to reduce lead times, address excessive dwell times and improve overall visibility and reporting
Supervise daily, weekly and monthly reporting processes to ensure timely notification to OPS, Supply Chain, Finance and Management team on overall inventory key
Implement Lean Six Sigma and Quality Control mechanisms and ensure ISO quality compliance using quality control tools and methodologies
Organize and oversee inventory audits at DC’s on bank and auditing firms according to cadence requirements
Analyze the capacity of DC’s for upcoming receipts and new product launches and take necessary actions to staff
Effectively manage group of exempt supervisors, full time associates and temporary personnel to accomplish goals
Provide business process improvements for efficient receipt of materials from vendors with visibility
Manage and report all Damage in Transit (DIT) product in conjunction with Return Material Authorization (RMA) on regular cadence
Who You Are
3-5+ years experience in Inventory / Materials Management
BA or BS degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or Operations; MBA preferred
Experience with Lean, SixSigma, Green Belt/Black Belt a plus
Aptitude to define operational requirements and implement processes and systems to support those requirements
Working knowledge of WMS i.e. KORBER and all aspects inventory management
Intermediate to advanced experience MS Excel with VLook-up and pivot table functional experience
High growth start-up and/or e-commerce experience a plus
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Superb facilitation and people skills; proven ability to lead and mentor individuals
Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
Self-starter with excellent organization skills
